HOW CAN FOCUSING ON WHAT GOES WELL EACH DAY, RATHER THAN THE 5% THAT DOESN'T, IMPROVE MY MOOD? -Rich Lombino, Therapist & Lawyer
You had a great day but are still feeling somewhat down. What could be a possible root cause? Are you a perfectionist? A pessimist? Are you someone who focuses most of their energy on the 5% of your day that didn’t go well, rather than the 95% that did? Changing your focus on what’s really important can help.
The reality is we’re not perfect and we’re not living in a perfect world. Things will not go as expected at times which can result in mental health concerns, such as stress, anxiety and/or a decreased mood. If we spend our time dwelling on these minor setbacks, we’re missing the opportunity to build resilience and improve our mood. This can have a long-term positive impact with greater capacity to deal with small challenges without them blowing up your day.

If you’d like to learn more about improving your mood and resilience, contact me today for a free consultation. Take care and be well. -Rich Lombino, Therapist & Lawyer
