How to Take Care of Your Mental Health Every Day

How to take care of your mental health every day
For many, things seem to go in cycles. Get motived to start a new exercise routine, do really well for a few weeks, then start to go to the gym less and less, and then paying a gym membership every month but not going. The same is often true with mental health. A person may be motived to feel less anxious and have a more positive mood, start to incorporate new healthy coping skills, and maybe even start to feel better. But then “life happens,” “got too busy,” and these new routines fall away.
Developing a good mental health routine is extremely important for long term happiness. And a big key to maintaining good mental health is sustaining this routine for the long term. Just like with an exercise routine, make sure whatever plan you develop for your mental health is achievable AND sustainable. Start small, build a routine, establish new habits, and supplement over time.

If you’d like to learn more about caring for your mental health to improve happiness, contact me for a free consultation. Take care and be well. -Rich Lombino, Therapist & Lawyer
